I had an old ROLAND 8 track in the early 2000s that ran off a zip disk. One day during the pandemic I loaded up the old thing and started going thru disks. The majority of this song was made when I was in my early 20s. I decided I would bring it back and re-record it. The tune itself made me think of big open skies, earthy, atmospheric tones and feelings. It feels like it has the undertone of the bittersweet. You can never go home. But life goes on. I wrote this song in pieces, with no real idea of where I was going, but as it was coming together, I had an overwhelming feeling of looking back on old times, old friends, old habits, missing those moments.
